Short Bio
Irene is an academic librarian with over 15 years of experience at Makerere University and currently serves as the Head Librarian at the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR). She specializes in metadata creation, research data management, and digital librarianship. Irene has been instrumental in advancing access to scholarly resources and strengthening institutional repositories.
Her research interests focus on the use of mobile technologies in information seeking, particularly among rural women. She is passionate about leveraging digital tools to bridge information gaps and support community well-being.
